OUR STORY

What started as a creative idea in a basement has grown into a full-fledged workshop.

Founded and operated by Rachel, Fairfax Place Designs was established in 2018 with just a Silhouette machine. As the business grew, so did the tools—from a scroll saw to a CNC machine, then a laser engraver, and now a workshop with two lasers. Through plenty of trial and error, endless creativity and a passion for creating meaningful, personalized pieces, that small side project has since grown into a thriving business, crafting everything from custom home décor and nursery signs to first responder gifts, pet portraits and one-of-a-kind keepsakes for customers across Canada, the United States, Europe and Australia.

Behind every order is Rachel's creativity, attention to detail and commitment to crafting something truly personal. Any help from her firefighter husband is strictly voluntary — and unfortunately for him, he remains an unpaid actor in this production.
